He sits in the
first row to be seen and heard. Never
absent or ill-prepared, he perpetually raises his hand to answer questions
others cannot. He is smiling, engaging,
and willing if not always able.
He arrives in the dark before "free-breakfast" is served to start the day. Nearby, the principal is waiting to unlock the boys’ gym for him to
shower and dress.
Squeaky-clean, well-fed and cared for,
he is home.
