On what would have been our 28th...

"Would you know my name?
If I saw you in heaven
Would it be the same?
If I saw you in heaven

I must be strong
And carry on
'Cause I know I don't belong
Here in heaven

Would you hold my hand?
If I saw you in heaven
Would you help me stand?
If I saw you in heaven

I'll find my way
Through night and day
'Cause I know I just can't stay
Here in heaven

Time can bring you down
Time can bend your knees
Time can break your heart
Have you begging please
Begging please

Beyond the door
There's peace, I'm sure
And I know there'll be no more
Tears in heaven

Would you know my name?
If I saw you in heaven
Would you be the same?
If I saw you in heaven

I must be strong
And carry on
'Cause I know I don't belong
Here in heaven.... "

Gatherings

"If I had a day that I could give you
I'd give to you a day just like today
If I had song that I could sing for you
I'd sing a song to make you feel this way...."

"Sunshine almost always," John Denver,
The Wildlife Concert

Imposter

I should be Grateful,
After all,
It could have been
Far worse.

Still there must be
An easier way to
Learn painful
Life-lessons than
In the throes of
Grief and Despair

Gasping for air,
Fighting to breathe,
Hanging-on for a
Hint of Compassion:
In expedience
I was left alone to
Drown

This most wretched self
Bare and Barren-
Exposed
For all the world to
See and Judge,
Crushing the
Broken pieces
Of a shattered
Existence
Into nothing
Almost .

Still from
Crystal Dust,
I rise.

I am

Standing now-
Stronger,
Wiser, even
Hopeful,
Without knowing
Anything
Anymore
For certain.

At best,
The same
I will never be.

"I'm Sorry"
Richard Walters

John Denver

Ladybugs

"When I was a little girl,
I used to run around in the fields all day,
Trying unsuccessfully to catch ladybugs.
Finally I would get tired and lay down for a nap.
When I awoke, I’d find ladybugs walking all over me.”
"Katherine," Under the Tuscan Sun.

"Live Forever," Billy Joe Shaver

George W. Ferrie
8/3/1954-10/31/2017

I'm gonna live forever
I'm gonna cross that river
I'm gonna catch tomorrow now
You're gonna wanna hold me
Just like I always told you
You're gonna miss me when I'm gone
Nobody here will ever find me
But I always be around
Just like the songs I leave behind me
I'm gonna live forever now

You fathers and you mothers
Be good to one another
Please try to raise your children right
Don't let the darkness take 'em
Don't make 'em feel forsaken
Just lead them safely to the light
When this old world has blown us under
And all the stars from fall this sky
Remember someone really loves you
We'll live forever you and I

I'm gonna live forever
I'm gonna cross that river
I'm gonna catch tomorrow now

I'm gonna live forever
I'm gonna cross that river
I'm gonna catch tomorrow now

I'm gonna live forever
I'm gonna cross that river
I'm gonna catch tomorrow now

I'm gonna live forever
I'm gonna cross that river
I'm gonna catch tomorrow now

I'm gonna live forever now
I'm gonna live forever now
I'm gonna live forever now
I'm gonna live forever now

Dream of angels and sunshine
Rivers of red wine, and orange peel blues
Dream of angels and sunshine
Rivers of red wine, and orange peel blues

"Live forever, y'all, whether you want to or not,"

Celebrating you every single day,
with all my love, heart, and soul,
💓Donna

"Sister, My Sister," brtpoetry

how can we be related?
You face the world so different,
yet we are one and the same.
Your blood is in my veins,
but no two different people could there be.
You're older, but still so young;
is it me or is this gap slowly disappearing?
It is now that we have felt the bond,
with all this distance between us.
This space became our band-aid -
covering the wound we falsely named love.
But things have begun to change,
and I can say "I love you" with a straight face.
Yes, I love you sister,
I can see that now.
Your stubborn ways;
your quickness to anger;
the tears that fall from embarrassment.
I'm with you - I feel them too.
I know all about you,
for I am a part of your life.

You can feel me as well,

and though we still may not agree,

we have learned to appreciate what has been given to us.

We will always be together,

for we were made from love for each other.

Sister, my sister;

we are one.
